Hats off to Morgan Stanley which has made a quick £2 million plus killing in four working days. It correctly identified Quindell (QPP) shareholders as being among the stupidest people on this planet and it has played them like a kipper. It is all perfectly legal and for this Robin Hood in reverse raid on the lobotomy and strong brigade, hats off to the banksters.
On Friday of last week Morgan Stanley picked up a 4.9% stake from Tosca at c61p. It bought a few shares in the market at the same time and so went over 3%, 4% and 5% at a stroke and told Quindell first thing Monday morning.

I am an ASOS (ASC) bear and explained last week why I think the shares should be at £23 - HERE. Natch the City’s brokers all used phrases such as “buying opportunity” after the most recent profits warning. Heck they seek corporate mandates rather than handing out decent advice. But hat’s off to Morgan Stanley. It has broken ranks with a bearish note out today. Good on you fellas.

I do not use Facebook. It seems to me like a tool for morons who cannot read a book, engage in sensible conversation or live away from their screen or phone. In other words it has a vast target market in today’s world. Its shares have plunged from $38 at IPO two weeks ago to $26.90 but I fail to see how they are worth more than $7.30. I would not be tempted to bottom fish.
